As you can obviously tell, I haven't been able to blog lately and I updated the layout to something that suits my current style more. I have been busy with school and other things that are, sadly, more important than blogging. I wish I could catch everyone up with what has been happening to me but that would require a really long time so I'll just start with today.

I went to the mall today and got a new pair of Vans. My old pair (the ones with balloons from forever ago when I first started blogging) was starting to tear apart. My new pair is part of the Robots collection.

Junior High Scares Me

As y'all know, I've just started junior high and the thing that bothers me is the extreme differences of some people. For example, some kids do drugs while others have never even touched a beer bottle. I didn't really know anyone ever on the bad side of the differences except now. There's a rumor saying someone (I'll call her M) is pregnant. Like, there are some girls in my grade that have never even had a crush! M was in my class in 1st grade which was a long ago and she was kinda my friend before she became popular so I kinda hope it's not true but kinda not care at the same time.

I hate Hurricane Ike. I know have no school or anything but the power went out for 4 days (it went back on yesterday) and a couple of trees fell down and one made a hole in my roof. I would post some post-hurricane pictures but I didn't take any (unfortunately). School's out for the rest of the week so yay for that.

New School

I started school on August 25 at a new school. The school's HUGE and I have a lot of homework so I have no time to knit and do my other hobbies.
Today was the first day of PE and we had to run around the football field/track while the cross-country kids called us wimps for not able to run 5 miles without wanting to pass-out. The locker rooms also stink so my friends and I are planning to each bring a bottle of perfume or body spay to make the place smell pretty.

Starting over

I haven't posted in a while and so many exciting things have happened and I don't know where to start so let's start all over.

School's starting on Monday. I'm starting junior high so I have to change schools. I missed orientation so 1. I don't have my textbooks 2. I haven't met my teachers 3. I couldn't get help with my locker the day I went to get my schedule because it's jammed.

On Vacation

As you know, I'm on vacation and most places in China have no internet so:
1. I can't blog
2. I can't email
3. I have no contact with the outside world
4. Rachel is being crazy and saying I died and went to heaven
5. uuuuh... I don't know. I just think there should be a number 5

When I go back to The Woodlands, I'll post my vacation pictures for everyone to see.
BTW, I'm in Huhhut, Inner Mongolia.

I'm in Nanjing

Greetings from China!
I'm right now here in Nanjing.

Here's a basic summary of what's going on:
Saturday: I left The Woodlands, went to New York, and left for Beijing on the plane
Sunday: Arrived in Beijing and then got a train to Hefei
Monday: Arrived in Hefei
Tuesday: Got on a train to Nanjing and arrived an hour later
Wednesday: Still in Nanjing
Thursday: Today

If you have no idea where all these places are here's a dictionary sort of:
The Woodlands: The suburban town outside of Houston where I live
New York: Almost everyone already knows
Beijing: The capital of China
Hefei: The capital of the Anhui province and also where my mother grew up and where I went to preschool
Nanjing: uh...

I would post some pictures of the inside of my maternal grandparents' apartment but it's 4 in the morning right now and I don't feel like going through my backpack to find everything. And for some weird reason, I like to act really scientific right now.

And tomorrow, I'm going to my dad's hometown. I would tell you what it's called but I can't spell it.

Airport in New York

Right now, I'm at an airport in New York. I have internet because my dad got into me the Continental Airlines President Club. My flight to China is delayed by 3 hours.

I can't find the cable-thing-majig that connects my laptop to my camera so there will not be pictures. Just like how there will be blood (I know, not funny).
Well, anyhow, my mom invited over a bunch of her friends to play cards so I'm extremely bored and my dad's on a business trip in San Francisco.
And in case you didn't know, in three weeks, I'm leaving for China. Yes, China. The communist place. Actually, communism isn't that bad and I was kind of being racist towards myself. Haha.

yesterday was my birthday. i got guitar hero 3, knitting needles, and a mochimochi land gift certificate.
but the upstairs ac also broke. now the temperature is almost hotter than outside. it's 89 degrees and getting warmer byt the second.
now me and ed, my li'l brother, have to sleep in the living room.
oh, and i also need ideas on wut to buy with my giff ferfificate.

my parents

i just realized i've never told you people about my parents.
basically, my parents trust me to make my own decisions, like the entire loaf of raisin toast i ate half an hour ago.
my mom is gonna teach a introductory class on speaking chinese at a nearby community college during the summer. she got highlights put into her hair today. her hair's dark dark brown like mine but mine has natural highlights.
my dad taught me how to write numbers in binary code on friday and it's easier than i thought it would be.
uuuuuh, that's basically it.
oh, btw, i'm chinese but anla isn't my chinese name. it has nothing to do with my chineseness.

today was field day1 i'll never have another field day in my life unless i become an elementary school teacher and i wanna be a preschool teacher. field day got cancelled an hour early cuz it was really hot out and according to some people, people were passing out cuz of the heat. last year, it was too muddy and wet outside and field day also got cancelled. when our class was at the soccer station, i slipped on purpose and got muddy which was so fun. of course, i still had to pretend it was an accident. haha

Happy Lance Armstrong Day!

I think I set a trend today. Everyone had to wear yellow to school today and I brought a box of foam stickers to give to my friends who didn't wear yellow. Then, other people started asking for yellow foam stickers and I ran out by 2nd block.

There are two reasons why I wrote Mr.N's 3rd law up there. 1)There's a science test on Friday 2) I got a bad tummy ache after I ran out of stickers.

I think a possibility of having strap throat is the unequal and opposite reaction. Wow, I'm learning inequalities in math. See Domino, math and science are strongly related.
